The Louisiana Wall project aims to illuminate and activate the southwest corner of University Avenue and Louisiana Street, in North Park, San Diego.

Through traditional mural techniques combined with a site specific contemporary art installation approach, the Louisiana Wall project is intended to provide a visually stimulating experience for all residents of the neighborhood as well as all who pass by on the surrounding streets.

The more practical objective of the project is to provide light, color, and action to a previously mundane corner with the hope of curbing unwanted graffiti and littering. The overall production time is estimated at 2 months and will involve priming and painting the wall and installing outdoor LED lighting that will be diffused to add color at night, through transparent blue acrylic panels.
